After my first day in a boxing gym in 2004 I thought about quitting because it was hard. Even though it was hard, I also had a lot of fun that day. I made the decision to keep going and to work hard, have fun and challenge myself. I’ve continued with that mentality ever since in everything I do inside and outside of the ring. Being challenged and fighting through a challenge makes you tough. I went on to compete in 21 fights and share the ring with some of the best fighters in the Upper Midwest. I also competed in the Upper Midwest Golden Gloves tournament in 2008 and 2009.
In 2009 I became a father and made the decision to become a trainer. A fighter needs to believe they know how to use the proper technique and do all the right things to be prepared for a fight. My job as a trainer is not just to tell a fighter what to do but to get them to believe it and motivate them to work hard. I have used this approach training multiple professional fighters and amateur boxers that have won Silver Gloves, Ringside and Upper Midwest championships.
I want to train tough people that are willing to work hard, have fun and help them to become a Champion inside and outside of the ring.
